PhD topic ´Cooling techniques for building-greenhouse interconnections in hot-arid climates´, Dr. Soudani is specialist in Interdisciplinary research topics in the field of Building Technology, Urban-technical development, Energy Optimization, and water-energy-Food (Nexus). Furthermore, he is working on the educational development of the architectural and urban curricula in Egypt by means of research and education oriented applications.

Dr. elSoudani is a project coordinator of two research funds from DAAD and BMBF.  He is the principle investigator of two ongoing Egyptian-German academic cooperation projects for developing Centers of Excellence COE in the Egyptian Universities located in the Nile-Delta. 1st project titled ´Delta-TU Partnership´, Delta Technical-Urban Partnership for Environmental, Social, and Urban Quality. 2nd project titled ´Understanding the German-Egyptian Cities by Machine Intelligence´ a cooperation between Technical University Berlin TUB, Hafen City University HCU, University College London UCL, and three Egyptian Universities in the Nile-Delta.

Dr. elSoudani is a professional architect and planner, has a work experience in the biggest and prestigious architecture companies in Germany such as gmp International (Architekten von Gerkan, Marg and Partner), and Eike-Becker Architects, Berlin. He has a work experience in more than 15 international architecture and infrastructure projects in Germany (Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt), Egypt (New Administrative Capital), Iran (Tehran) and India.
